Xbox One exclusives in 2018 with Sea of Thieves featured.

With Spring quickly approaching, Microsoft is trying to push as many Xbox consoles off store shelves as possible. You've probably seen the ridiculously low prices (such as with Xbox One X getting $100 off) and are wondering if you should bother buying one.

While we can't answer that question for you, what we can do is show you its current exclusive roster for 2018. Note that as usual Microsoft will announce new games for the end of the year during its E3 press conference. But for now this is what we know we're getting this year.

1. Ashen

This action RPG has a rather dull aesthetic, but makes up for it with atmosphere. The game will be heavily story driven with boss battles and lots of puzzle solving. Considering it's an indie game it should be around $15 to $20.

We've been looking forward to this one for years. Made by the same studio behind Critter Crunch and Superbrothers, there's no doubt in our minds that it's going to be a hit. As with Ashen it's an indie game, but don't discount it. It's shaping up to be one of this generation's most interesting pieces of work.

3. Crackdown 3

At this point Crackdown 3 should have been out ages ago. Sadly, much of the delays have been due to development woes, which leads us to believe this game might not be as good as we're hoping for. On the other hand, it's Crackdown, Xbox's quintessential action game. Here's to hoping it comes out alright.

4. Fable IV

Yeah, this game might not come out this year, but if it does, then by god. The first couple Fable games are some of the best of their genre, having captivated the minds of millions of gamers back when Xbox was king in North America. Now being made by the talented studio behind Forza Horizon, we have a great feeling about this one.

5. Sea of Thieves

Here she is, the biggest game on this list. No matter what you've heard about the game, it has an incredible amount of potential being that it's a sandbox pirate game. Arriving next month, it's essentially 2018's first super release with millions of dollars of marketing and a big developer, Rare Ltd., behind it. If you plan to become an Xbox gamer, this is one that'll have to join your collection sooner rather than later.

6. State of Decay 2

I had a chance to interview the team behind State of Decay 2 at E3 last year and my impression is this game could be a big hit. It's improved a lot since we last saw the series, with a lot more content, variability, and smoother gameplay. Everyone likes zombie games, and this is shaping up to become 2018's best one.

7. The Last Night

This 2.5D cinematic platform game is unlike anything else this year, which makes it a nice feather in the Xbox's figurative cap. It's definitely a looker, and has crazy potential. For now, it's rather secretive about details, so we're just going to have to see if this one can make a splash.
